A breathtaking story about an old lion looking back at his life in East Africa. The scars on his face are evidence of an adventurous and dramatic life. Through flashbacks, images of the past The African King recalls his life's victories, joys and tragedies.
The film is dedicated to the late Hugo van Lawick, who died in June of this year. The African King is the last film he participated in.
