Set against a backdrop of two million pink flamingos, The Gates of Hell is a film about nature's resilience at Lake Bogoria in Kenya's Rift Valley, where deep underground the water is boiled amongst the hot rocks by the volcanic activity and spewed up to the surface in geysers, now highly alkaline and dangerously poisonous.
