Hugo van Lawick's moving epic of the cycles of life on the Serengeti. Van Lawick (who died in June 2002) gives viewers a sweeping view of the vast landscapes of Africa and he pays tribute to the lions, jackals, cheetah, giraffes and other animals, which make their living there.
