South east of the world famous Serengeti in Tanzania lies the little known region named after the river that runs through it, the Tarangire River. The migratory herds that gather in Tarangire are always assured of fresh water, but with this assurance comes peril. Tarangire provides sustenance for the wandering herds, but with it, life threatening predators anxious to make meal of an unwary visitor.
